There are currently 3.8 million people in the UK with diabetes, including an estimated 630,000 people who have Type 2 diabetes but don’t know it.

Every day we are helping people to better manage their diabetes. We campaign for better treatments and care and are working to reduce the rise of diabetes across the UK.

Diabetes UK is the largest charity dedicated to funding diabetes research in the UK. Research is at the heart of Diabetes UK – our research projects focus on caring, curing and preventing all forms of diabetes.

We are currently funding around 120 research projects worth around £25 million.
